Last updated October 2026Draft for reviewAwaiting owner and legal review. On this test site, contact messages and newsletter sign-ups stay in the site’s own admin and no email is sent.
  1. 01

    Who we are

Forms Through Time is a research, publishing and educational initiative on the history of ceramic vessel forms. This notice explains what personal information the website collects and how it is used.

  2. 02

    What we collect

When you register for Studio resources: your name, email address and, if you choose to give it, the group you belong to (for example teacher or potter). When you use the contact form: your name, email address, the subject of your enquiry, any record reference and your message. When you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address. We do not collect payment details.

  3. 03

    How we use it

To send the Studio resources you request and tell you when planned resources are published. To reply to your enquiry. To send the newsletter, only if you have ticked the box or subscribed. To understand, in aggregate, which groups use the resources so we can plan new ones.

  4. 04

    Legal basis

We rely on your consent for the newsletter, which you can withdraw at any time. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and providing resources you have asked for.

  5. 05

    Sharing

We never sell or share your details. Your information is stored with the email and hosting services we use to run the site, which process it on our behalf and only under our instructions.

  6. 06

    How long we keep it

Studio registrations and newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Contact enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them, and no longer than two years.

  7. 07

    Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it or object to its use. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. To make a request, use the contact form and choose Something else. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

  8. 08

    Cookies and local storage

The site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It stores a few preferences in your browser, such as your comparison list, saved searches and table settings, so they are remembered between visits. These stay on your device.
